Coeur d'Alene Olympic Triathlon
The pre-race bike course recon paid off big! After coming out of the water in under 29 minutes (pretty much what I expected) I set out to ride the 24.8 mile course in 1:10 or less. Ambitious, I know but my bike has really improved this season and I felt confident. I like to start out at a reasonable pace until my heart rate levels off then I begin to hammer the downhills and ride steady up the hills. Once I made the turn at Higgins Point I started mentally preparing for the monster, Yellowstone Trail. Continue reading
